Regaining Skin Balance With Eclat!
I don’t know about you but post Christmas indulgence coupled with the central heating being on has played havoc with my skin. I came out of the festivities with puffy eyes and puffy, red skin with terribly chapped lips. Signs of the fun had with the over indulgent choices made for food and drink and also of the temperature and conditions of weather outside. Winter isn’t a great time for the skin really, not mine at any rate and while we might think of Aloe Vera being a rescue for summer months when the sun has bitten us a little too deeply, we might not be so quick to consider its very healing and natural properties for winter skin. I’m here to tell you that you absolutely should be!
I’ve used Eclat products before and the promises they make do fruit very quickly as well as being long-lasting so with my posy holiday face which was an angry mess including quite a few spots into the mix of red, sore, puffy and dry I was hopeful this would help in a dramatically fast way and it didn’t disappoint. After ordering the products in my shop arrived pretty swiftly and I set about a morning and evening skincare routine with dedication. I don’t like my skin being horrible, who does? This needed sorting asap!
The Eclat Aloe Vera Gel (£9.87), is made with the purest levels of aloe and says that it will supercharge, hydrate and nourish dry skin. The 100ml tube (which is HUGE really as a tiny amount goes such a long way) is packed with the amino acid and vitamin C gel which has proved to be a real skin saviour. I noticed a difference after one application My dry, tight sin relaxed instantly and after a few days of applying it after my toner in the mornings and on its own before a night cream at bed time and I look like a much healthier, more glowing version of myself. I haven’t been using it entirely on its own but I know that this product is all you need for a quick, as well as lasting, rescue to skin in a state of SOS care! Dry, sore skin looks far older than it should, when using this Aloe Vera Gel, which isn’t sticky and actually leaves you feeling like your skin has nothing on it all just purely to the touch, the benefits extend to making me look far more youthful than I do otherwise. It almost makes the skin plump up, but de-puff at the same time – the miracles of natural products eh?!
My skin is no longer angry, the spots have waved bye, bye (good) and where it was dry just over a week ago it is now soft and looks nourished as well as feeling it. The concentration of the gel is 99.75% pure aloe leaf juice with no dilution. This is why is gifts such a prolonged (and fast) result. Calming for the skin in many ways it will of course offer up its magic for sun kissed skin and other irritations you might more commonly associate Aloe Vera with but truly, it’s such a good tool for winter weathered and burned out skin too. It’s cooling and soothing while the main benefit is that it will encourage healing by drawing moisture to the skin’s surface, repairing its barrier.
I did say I’d not been using it alone though didn’t I!? Well, I also received some of the widely known to nourish Argan Oil from Eclat (£8.99), which comes in a pipet style bottle of 30ml. Now this is an oil most associated with hair care and for sure, this is a real treat for hair. Mine is dried and stressed from constant heat damage where I’d got to a point that I had to keep using heat products on it because it looked so dreadful and straw like without and yet with each style it was damaging further. I tried lots of serums but everything felt very heavy and pulled down my already very thin hair. It’s not THINNING, it’s just that I don’t have a lot of it and never have done so anything which pulls it down further is a no no for me. I’d say I was in a real vicious cycle when it came to my hair and was just trying to find something to get me out of that and set me back on track. It’s fine to have fine hair but as long as it’s looked after properly and coupled with highlights (which I won’t compromise on) it just wasn’t working. I needed to get back to a place where my hair looked ok without heat styling so that I could nurture it going forwards. I kid you not, from the first use of the Argan Oil, which is used in sparing quantities because a miniscule amount goes a long, long way, and my hair had transformed. I haven’t used the straighteners on it once since I started popping a tiny bead in my palm and running it through my we hair. It has, like magic, sealed the split ends and nourished the dry strands so that it dries naturally very well and if I want to add a bit of body I can use a drying brush for a few minutes and then my hair is done! But that’s the hair, and we know about Argan Oil and hair (although I didn’t know about it enough to actually try it before now – wish I had!) but what else can it do?!
Well, After I’ve rubbed it into my hair I’ve been rubbing my hands together because it’s a great promoter of nail growth too I’ve heard and just after a week, although not long enough to tell 100%, they have got a lot better I think (I’m a nail biter really…) and this is my total best bit, a couple of drops on my skin before the aloe vera gel in the morning have really helped that healthy glow along. I think it’s added such benefit to my skin as well as my hair!
And these are not the only Eclat products I’ve been trialling… I was also sent a Foot Exfoliation Peeling Mask (£5.99), which I KNOW works as I’ve used one before! Have you seen them in all their glory on line with people showing you the peel, to reveal baby soft feet afterwards? Well, I’m not going to subject you to my peeling feet because we are mid that right now but I will say it does exactly what you want it to. It takes with me about 3 days after the pack for the feet to start peeling and that will usually last around a week before you have super soft feet getting them ready well in advance of when they will see the light of day again! The mask is super easy to use and while it doesn’t completely cure if you’ve incredibly cracked heels, it does get you on the right path. I’ve been doing these masks every few months or so for a while now. I did the first one just as I was about to give birth to Posie and have been a regular ever since. They make me feel much more confident about my feet in the summer but you don’t want to wait until the summer to begin the treatment, get on it now and you can thank me later!
Eclat are experts in skincare who offer skincare in many guises and for many specific issues, as well as make-up and bath and body treatments. Run by Mum of one Nicole, Eclat was designed to cut the clutter skincare can often throw out to us. Ingredient lists can be as long as your arm from less than natural sources, with promises they can’t possibly keep and that’s the declutter Nicole offers with Eclat. She says she chooses earth sourced ingredients to marry with science and deliver smarter, faster results. Well, in my experience they have done just that!
With foresight into being eco friendly with packaging and prioritising the main ingredient rather than stuffing tubes with fillers she manages to be just who I’m looking for all round when it comes to my skincare. Nice packaging it is too by the way, these recyclable boxes and tubes, after they’ve been filled with the products using wind and solar renewable energy powers in the production. I mean, not that the way it looks means anything really, not when they work, and these do! I’m very impressed and will be an on-going customer.
Collaboration.
