Something To Look Forward To – Madagascar Live!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

As I mentioned in another post recently, once the festivities of Christmas have been done, winter doesn’t really hold much clout for me so I’m thoroughly looking forward to brighter mornings and lighter evenings, getting up while it’s still dark is just too moody! With Christmas gone I absolutely need some things to look forward to and I always think January is the best month to start planning treats for the family for the rest of the year. You know, holidays, trips, things to make us get excited a bit now for stuff coming up later!

So I have a few ideas and one of them is something I myself am quite excited about! Last summer on a trip to a theme park Florence was introduced to characters from the film ‘Madagascar’ for the very first time and absolutely loved it. There was a small live show, nothing fancy but the characters were on stage dancing and it was enough to capture her attention and make her remember. Over Christmas she watched the original film for the first time on DVD and again was enchanted with the characters and music. Whenever we see anything ‘Madagascar’ related she gets really excited and says ‘I like that, shall we go and see them in a show?’ I say, ‘oh perhaps we will if there ever is one’… Well… Now there is!

Florence loved this small show at a theme park, she’s gonna just be thrilled to see a proper live show!

Now, when I say show I actually mean ARENA tour! A live musical performance based on the original story from the film and all under the grand roof of an arena to add extra excitement and atmosphere. We’ve seen arena tours before and the feeling is completely different to that of theatre; somehow the excitement is just palpable with an audience that big and what a treat for the whole family to sit together and enjoy watching those favourite ‘Madagascar’ characters come to life?! The film franchise is popular with everyone, not just children and I think the live tour will be just the same! Yep, think we definitely have something to look forward to here alright!

Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo and the plotting penguins as they escape from their home at New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar. They’ll be touring Bournemouth, Birmingham, Brighton, Nottingham, Newcastle, Cardiff, Exeter, London and Glasgow from 10th January 2013 to 10th March 2013! The perfect treat to get us through the winter blues! There are so many reasons why the whole family will enjoy this experience and one of the best and foremost reasons before you’ve even really given it much thought is that the ticket prices are incredibly reasonable with absolutely NO BOOKING FEE! Tickets start at £20, family tickets for four are £99 and there are massive savings to be had when booking in groups of ten or more! The fact that the show itself is shaping up to be unmissable is of course reason enough to go but it certainly helps when the pocket doesn’t get too much of a bashing! Recommended for children aged 3 and over I will be taking Florence and my 12-year-old sister who will be absolutely thrilled to bits! I’ve shown Florence the trailer and she can’t wait! For more information on the show and to book tickets visit www.madlive.co.uk! And keep up to date with all the latest news by following them on Twitter @MadLIVEUK and visiting their Facebook page! We’re excited in this house, come and get ‘Madagascar Live’ Excited too! We’ll be going in London which isn’t until March but don’t forget the tour starts in just a few days time so don’t miss it at an arena near you!
