Summer Holidays 2021 – Week Three!

Summer Holidays 2021 – Week Three!

Week three saw the second half of our lovely Dorset holiday which was lush even when not bathed in sunshine. The weather was 50/50 but the fun was 100% and when the sun did shine it was super worth it. A bit of a low to be home again with all the sorting out a post holiday family of 6 needs but we made the second half of week three fun regardless with another camping trip ion the offing for next week too! We also did some boring school prep but these things do have to be done!

Wednesday the 4th – Jonny and my 11th wedding anniversary and we went here while the sun shone. How lovely!
After the many, many steps down a pasty was welcome indeed!
Another make shift sun shade for the baby and Gram!
Cousin fun!
Raffie was frightened of swimming in the sea and became a limpit!
The rest of us were like fish!
My baby boy!
Jimmy in his wet suit!
Where I always am and love to be!
The younger of us adults and Florence swam through the Durdle Door – not without story!
He just liked to look!
And sand sit!
While this one fancies himself as a rock climber and jumper offer!
Oh but it was so lovely!
Posie on the beach!
They love each other so much!
These two!
All of us!
It was Hugh Fernley Whittingstall’s River Cottage Kitchen for dinner on Thursday which was absolutely delicious for curry night!
Florence dressed up for the occasion wearing heels only to discover they’re not that comfy!
Granny and Rose (wearing an old Florence dress)!
Brotherly love!
I loved being here!
I think the food, atmosphere and company were all superb!
Everyone had a great time!
We may have renamed Hugh though – he will now be known in our house as Hugh Fernley farting Fuel (Jonny)!
Friday and the last day was a wet one!
VERY wet!
We went hunting for fossils in Charmouth!
They found a few!
And Jimmy really fooled everyone by burying one he’d bought!
After a couple of days unwinding at home we hit the beach with Posie’s friends and their siblings!
