Summer Holidays 2021 – Week Two!

The second week began with frantic holiday packing as we simultaneously moved Florence bedrooms and moved Posie (her clothes at any rate) into Florence’s old one. And then it was off to Dorset for a big family holiday.

Dorset is glorious and with both good and bad weather we have thoroughly made the most of being with Jonny’s family and Gram for the week!

After a Weds, Thurs and Fri build up of packing and decorating and furniture moving it felt so good to arrive for an 8.30am sunshine breakfast at Lulworth Cove after leaving at 3am Saturday!
We’ve been to the area for Camp Bestival many times but never seen the actual cove and it was well worth the visit!
Just like being abroad!
Beaut!
What a place for breakfast!
Couldn’t have been more perfect!
My girls!
Oh Raffie!
We love the seaside!
How is this the UK?!
We’d been prepared for rain but not sun!
The little pool in our holiday home for some splash fun!
Small but fine for a splash!
First night dinner!
Jonny’s sister!
And parents!
Gram!
Sunday and the weather took a little bit of a turn but we managed some beach time anyway!
Until the sky went like this then we had to run for it!
Then back to the pool!
Monday was a donkey day with my friends who joined us on our holiday from theirs!
Florence did this for all the little girls so I did it for her too!
Tuesday and our baby turned 6 months old – we went to Lyme Regis!
Another glorious sunshine day – British sunshine is so unpredictable but welcome when it arrives!
Even if we do have to makeshift the brolly to a parasol again!
Look at that sea!
It is gorgeous at Lyme Regis and VERY popular!
So popular that these sandwiches took an hour and a half of queuing to buy but even that was fun!
What a lovely day!
I got to do a bit of knitting!
finished off with an ice cream! And then we still had more holiday to come going into week 3 of the summer holidays, aren’t we lucky!
