Summer Holidays 2026 – Week Three!
Week Three headed up with a day watching NCFC for Jonny and Raffie, Florence was home for the first time in what seemed like ages and a chilled vibe was had by all with, of course, some family fun thrown in. A day in Southwold (would be rude not to) and some down time at home as well!
Then it was a lot of time spent in preparation for the end of the week’s trip to Cornwall. Deciding to go to Boardmasters to make up for a Latitude ruined by a horrible man for Florence, we took the decision that we should all go and take advantage of the journey by camping for the rest of us. So she stayed one night with us then off to Boardies for her.
We went to stay with Grandad and Grusie on Wednesday night breaking up the Cornwall pilgrimage by half. Then an early doors off saw us arrive in time to enjoy the whole day in Cornwall as a family of six before taking Florence to Newquay Friday morning ready to set off on festival adventure of the summer number two.
We love it by the beach and Polzeath, where we are staying, was glorious as always with the most stunning scenery. We ate (splashed out – Cornwall is NOT cheap) and drank and surfed and sunned (when we could). Camping is a lot of hard work in the prep but boy is it fun, and I’m not even thinking about the hard work in the clear up because we are still here!
