Thinking About A Holiday?

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

I love Christmas time, it’s so exciting and (from inside with a lovely warm fire) I even love the fact that it’s cold outside. Having to actually leave the house and I don’t feel quite the same I’m afraid. It’s not so much for me but for the children who have to be bundled up in layers and layers of clothing, stuffed into snow suits and then have hats, scarves and gloves on. Fine if you leave the house once and go to one place then home again but we are so busy that we’re always here, there and everywhere and we need to get our gubbins on and off more times than I care to think about… Sometimes it just makes me want to stay inside instead. It’s so much simpler in the summer when you can just pop out with no coat even and just stay in the park all day. So I love this time of year but…

I always start thinking about holidays when I’m cold, getting away somewhere in the sun, somewhere fun (now that we have children and can’t just laze by a pool all day) and I start day dreaming. I’m forever on-line looking at what deals there are. It’s all window shopping but a girl can dream can’t she?! I was told about a great new tool this week, with regards to planning a family holiday, and I’m afraid I haven’t been able to help myself having a play around with it! If you’re planning a trip to Orlando, even if it’s just dreaming ahead like me, then this is perfect!

www.orlandoholidayplanning.com allows you to make your whole holiday itinerary before you go and ensures you don’t miss out on any of the things that are important to you. With a list of absolutely everything you might need or want on that holiday of a lifetime it affords you to choose for yourself what’s important to you. Going to Orlando was something I always wanted to do as a child but we never did. As an adult it probably fell off my radar for a while but when we had Florence (and after our trip to Disneyland Paris) it became something I think about again. Right now we don’t really have the money but it’s definitely something I want to save up for and with the help of this tool I now know far more than just the fact that we want to go!

It’s not just about which theme parks to visit either! This literally tells you everything! I now know April would be the ideal time of year for us! Weather wise the temperature is hot but not excruciating and it’s not right in the height of the peak season. I know we don’t actually need to have a car and could rely on public transport which is a bit of a revelation; one of my Mum’s reasons for not going when I was little was because she doesn’t drive so I always assumed it was a must! It wouldn’t be a problem for us now but it’s good to have that knowledge! I now know when I need to book (even though it’s a pipe dream holiday), how to make massive savings, where to eat and so much more! Things I wouldn’t have thought of, have been flagged up – how helpful! And then of course I also do know all about the all important theme parks and where we might stay to make our visits to them maximised…

A lovely dream holiday… Perhaps one day it won’t only be in my dreams! I love the States and would be thrilled to take my children someday, especially somewhere like Orlando! I was asked recently if I would wait until the children are older? I thought probably yes at the time and in reality will have to but in theory, now, having looked at the planner, it seems like a great place for babies too! Ah well… back to reality! At least Christmas comes with this bitter cold weather eh! 🙂

Visiting Disneyland Paris when I was just pregnant with Jimmy sparked a bit of magic in us! Florence got off the Eurostar on the way there talking about ‘Mick Mick Mouse’ who she’d never been introduced to before and she’s never looked back! She’s a Disney fan and it made me think one day, one day we’ll visit Orlando and see it in the States too!
