Wroxham Barns – Christmas Experience 2025!

Wroxham Barns – Christmas Experience 2025!

We were very kindly invited to come and be some of the first to experience Christmas at Wroxham Barns for 2025 and we have come away ever more certain that this is the best Christmas day out in the county. I’m not saying there aren’t lots of other fun things to do and we have actually been invited to and booked ourselves, a few other bits and bobs that I know will also be just lovely, but… Wroxham Barns is the best. So, if you are only going to do one festive day out, then this has to be it and at £80 for a family of four I think it is absolutely tremendous value (I absolutely would have booked at this price had we not been invited as guests – I would always put it on the top of my list based on previous years and 2025 has cemented that thought)!

So, what can you expect?

In a Lapland style series of activities, as well as the regular fun on the farm, soft play and junior park with its rides, golf and more, this season offers each child a passport filled with pages ready to be stamped as you work your way around the magic. Make reindeer food in the HQ for Rudolph and chums, decorate ginger bread with the ever so funny Mrs Claus (who puts on a bit of an immersive show as you spend time with her), meet and greet and craft with the Grinch (who has saved Christmas in this house and topped Posie being terrified of any mention of him by being super kind and friendly), take a ride on the North Pole Express and then with a booked slot to see Father Christmas (who will know all about your child from the booking form), head to the North Pole post office to write a letter to him ahead of your one to one visit. Which is MEGA and so intimate, without even a hint of being rushed through on a conveyor belt. It feels special, it doesn’t feel like business!

Of course, along the way, there are character elves dressed up and ready to entertain and help with the activities. We particularly loved Carrot and Parsnip at Reindeer HQ but they were all super fun and friendly and the elf at the North Pole Post Office (despite being the lovely lad we see all year when we visit) really captured the magic and neither of my littles asked if he was the same boy who’d water fought with them on our glamping trip – I think he immersed himself into his role so much the children just said ok, he’s an elf, that’s that!

After seeing Father Christmas at your booked time (you can be on the park all day no matter when that it), he will give the children a golden coin to be spent in his toy shop which is filled with pretty decent gifts for all ages. You’d think this would be the highlight, the pièce de résistance, if you will. And yet… It really isn’t, it’s great, a lovely addition but… It’s just not the main event! The main event is everything else and the magic filling the air. Wroxham Barns have thought of every little touch to make Christmas the most special of their events and with trees covered in snow, and happy, smiling faces everywhere, I feel there’s no real need to even think about actual Lapland, it’s right here in little old Norfolk!

How to book?

Book your tickets on line, it is already very full and tiwlight Father Christmas visits are all that’s left for the 13th and 14th, and 20th and 21st of December (and even then, there are not many slots available at all so go, go, go) but, miraculously, there are a few more times available for the dates of 22nd and 23rd of December (these will also book up very quickly now)! Once you have booked (adults £15, children age 2+ £25 and children under 2 £10) you will be asked to complete a form for Father Christmas giving some details which will amaze the children when they meet father Christmas on their visit!

Top Tips!

Go all day, enjoy absolutely everything the farm has to offer with unlimited rides and animal visits, then break the day up with a festive afternoon tea. They have lots of food offerings like cheesy chips from their Greedy Goat food truck (Raffie’s fave) and even offer a proper Christmas meal if you’re after something hot, but afternoon tea is absolutely immense at Wroxham Barns and very affordable – it would always be my choice (and often is)!

Wrap up warm but don’t worry about wellies and other farm style clothing you might need to consider elsewhere. Wroxham Barns is super civilised and their pathways are appropriate for regular shoes – even if it rains! Do, however, take spare socks because bouncing pillows and sand pits are still attractive to children (at least they are mine) even if it means getting wet, cold feet!

Don’t panic about having a late visit with Father Christmas, in a way it’s very fitting to be dark and have the twinkling lights making everything feel doubly festive, book anyway and spend the day gearing up to the main event.

Don’t miss out!

I never recommend anything wholeheartedly if I wouldn’t be very happy to pay for it myself, we were gifted tickets for our visit on this occasion but we often book and go to the events at Wroxham Barns because it really is brilliant. Christmas 2025 is very nearly a sell out, so don’t wait or you will miss out!

We were invited as guests of Wroxham Barns for this visit.
