Wroxham Barns – October Half Term 2020!

When we visited Wroxham Barns in the summer it had a newly changed format of a one ticket price includes all with the Fun Park and Junior Farm included in that price with unlimited access! We thought it worked really well, made the day much more enjoyable and absolutely hit all the parenting targets for a cost effective day – I love being able to tell the kiddos they can go on as many rides as they like without having to worry about how much each one will cost me!

Rides that EVERYONE can enjoy – even the Daddys!

They also proved that their efforts to socially distance the farm, park and shops as well as making it as safe as possible in all areas from hand sanitising stations to a brilliant one way system were well thought and excellently executed. I was VERY impressed all round and now, of course, after they are old hands at it all, they have a spooky offering for half term this October which sees Norfolk in a tier one environment still having to be socially careful and yet still wanting to have fun!

They have a pumpkin patch to add to the usual fun and a pumpkin carving station which means the mess can stay in Wroxham while the Halloween fun can come home with you. Every child with ticket gets to enjoy the pumpkin festival and take one home with them after they’ve spookified it and other activities just for this special half term include Wilma the Witch’s Potion School which my kiddos all got to try today along with everything else!

Pumpkin patching!
Hard work – especially when you have to choose just one each!
But you really want them ALL!
Carving in a socially distanced tent where masks are required for adults!
Then enjoying the fruits of your labour!
There’s also potion school to attend!
And… Gulp (but much to Jimmy’s delight)… Real, live maggot racing!

I just LOVE how much thought has gone into this place from start to finish, how the price includes everything, that the park and farm can be flitted between and that they have given so much care to making everything safe. Wroxham Barns has come up trumps for Halloween and we LOVED it!

Talking turkey!
And goat!
The farm is a really lovely, little one and with its one way system it too feels very safe to look around!
But Raffie loves the guinea pigs!

Wroxham Barns used to be a couple of hours entertainment and it is now a full on day out – in our opinion it’s WELL worth the money! And you can visit the crafting shops, outlets, restaurants and more for free without visiting the farm or the park – it’s lush for small local businesses and a great place to pick up some unique gifts!

Here’s some more of the fun we got up to today!

Loads of fair ground rides which are sanitised in between EVERY ride!
Bouncing pillows!
Mini golf which we took in turns to do with the big kids – I went with Flobo and Gram took Jimmy!
The water bomb game at the end which every child gets 5 water balloons for was such a big hit!
We always take a picnic of a flask of Heinz tomato soup – our winter packed lunch fave!

For non members tickets cost £11.50 (including the booking fee) for children and adults (under 2s go FREE) and tickets MUST be booked in advance with timed slots. Members have to pay a £1 booking fee but this is gifted back to them in the form of a voucher to spend in any of the shops and restaurants – the cakes and coffees are YUM by the way and they offer and afternoon tea we didn’t have time for but another time I will definitely book in advance for!

We were gifted our tickets to Wroxham Barns.
