A Love Affair With Train Sets!

Posted in Uncategorized

There are some toys that never go out of fashion. Take toy trains, for example. Britons have been in love with trains ever since the day in 1829 when 15,000 people turned up to see George Stephenson’s Rocket take part in the Rainhill Trials. Children have been in love with toy trains for almost as long and if you look at the wooden train set selection at WoodenToyShop.co.uk you’re bound to find a set to please just about every toddler, […]

Polarn O. Pyret – A/W 2013!

Posted in Uncategorized

I love to photograph clothes. I don’t know why but it seems to sit well with me so some of my most favourite posts to write are fashion ones. I just love to try and make clothes look beautiful and I do my best to picture them in imaginative and interesting ways. Some clothes don’t need a lot of help… Some clothes just are beautiful no matter how you capture them. The clothes speak for themselves if you will… Polarn […]

Barcelona!

Jonny and I used to enjoy a city break and with no children and two incomes we could afford to go on a few. I loved New York! It was an amazing experience watching the 4th of July fireworks over the Hudson River and literally everything about my memories from our holiday make me smile. My Dad had lots of air miles that he gave us so we even got to fly Club Class! Amazing and we felt like super […]

We did a shop at Tesco and then a like for like shop at Aldi another […]

Bad Bollo The Beast!

Posted in Uncategorized

We have a cat called Bollo. (We were fans of The Mighty Boosh when we got him). Bollo is a black cat. A big black cat. Bollo is also a very troubled cat… Jonny never wanted a feline friend but I was adamant that as soon as we bought our own home we had to have one. I have always had cats and to me a house isn’t homely without a furry pointy eared friend wandering in and out and […]

Some New Little Dishes On The Block!

Posted in Uncategorized

I often talk about what a picky eater Florence is. She’s just never really eaten much and what she does choose to allow past her lips is vetted to within an inch. If she doesn’t like the look of it it’s out! If it’s the wrong colour it’s passed over. If there’s any odd texture to it then it’s well and truly cast aside. I understand because I was also like this as a child but it doesn’t half make […]

Those Toys Are WOW!

Posted in Uncategorized

When we were at the Lollibop Festival this year both children absolutely loved playing at the WOW toys tent! They had so much fun with the toy people and vehicles and even got to take a little figure home with them which they thought was ace! Aside from our little gifts from Lollibop and despite them being just up our street we’ve not actually had any of the toys at home before. I say before because now… we do! We’ve […]

A Pickin’ And A Eatin’

Posted in Uncategorized

Do you remember back March we planted our own tomato seeds? You could apply with the Heinz Facebook page for a FREE packet of seeds so it didn’t even cost us anything! We’ve documented our tomato ‘Grow Your Own’ story on the blog and finally… Finally! We have been able to pick the fruits of the grow this weekend. There’s still quite a few more green ones (the film ‘Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistlestop Cafe’, which I love, inspired the […]

Bewildered In The Woods!

Posted in Uncategorized

Bewilderwood! One of the UK’s leading attractions and would you believe it, a stones throw from Norwich, my home City and where my Mum still lives. You can even get the bus there from Norfolk’s capital and it doesn’t take very long at all! There’s not much to do in Norfolk I always find, not much where you don’t absolutely need a car for anyway and it’s one of the reasons we just can’t bring ourselves to move out of […]
