A Roarr-Some Christmas!

If you go down to the woods today you’re sure to find… Some rather festive dinosaurs actually! Roarr, the dino park in Lenwade, Norfolk is playing host to Santa and his workshop of elves this yule in a socially distanced meet and greet grotto of dreams!

You can book tickets to visit the park as per normal or you can purchase evening tickets for the grotto alone. Alternatively the two can be mixed and a full on festive day out treat can be enjoyed by the whole family!

We love Roarr and have written many times on the blog about our wonderful adventures there throughout all seasons. We love the high ropes and the soft play and the outdoor play and the dino trail… Oh and let’s not forget the farm or the splash zone (not just in summer if you’re hardy like my kids) or the fossil hunting… Oh actually then there’s the Go-Karts and mini golf and prehistoric trail and, and, and… Quite a lot more to boot actually! It’s a fun packed day out with everything included in the ticket price which as a parent makes me VERY happy. Nothing worse than having to fork out for more once you’ve arrived somewhere having already paid handsomely to get in!

And the Christmas grotto experience is no different when it comes to that notion of a one off payment. For your ticket price to the grotto alone (£15 per child with one accompanying adult – extra adults are charged at £2 per person) you will enjoy the magical experience of being welcomed by elves into the Christmas world of wonder before being able to savour seasonal delights with your very own Gingerbread Man as you meet Mother Christmas. Before you meet the big FC you might just get caught in a snow storm and then, when biggest elf of them all greets you warmly you will have your photograph captured by the elves to keepsake for forever more! Not only this but you then will receive your golden ticket to exchange in the toy shop before joining your family for warming hot chocolate to finish – ALL included in the price with no hidden extras (Park entry WITH Father Christmas tickets cost £26 per child or £11 per accompanying adult and additional adults as part of family group cost £13)!

Best bits for me were being able to do this in such a fun way yet of course it was all socially distanced. We saw another family from afar and yet didn’t come into contact with ANYONE. They were so on the ball, had thought of everything and the fact it’s an all inclusive ticket price including gift for each child and family photo with Father Christmas is absolutely for the win. Loved it being at night and more than just a quick see of the big man in red and the kiddos loved eat8ing ginger bread and drinking hot chocolate. Roarr, you have excelled yourself (again)!

(PICTURE COMING – NO PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED BUT I HAVE ONE BY THE TREE I CAN SHARE AS SOON AS I HAVE IT IN MY PAWS!)

We were gifted our grotto experience at Roarr.
