BeWILDerwood – 2016 October Half Term Review!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

When we moved back to Norfolk we bought annual passes to BeWILDerwood because it’s quite simply, not just the best day out in the county, but in our opinion, the best day out in the COUNTRY! And we LOVE being able to go all the time with our passes which are actually very reasonably priced. We never get bored, and enjoy every season in the woods swinging through the trees on zip wires (there are even baby ones for tiny tots), sliding down from great heights and walking through the tops of trees! You can build dens, get lost in the sky maze, watch stories acted out on the stage, have your face painted for free and take a boat ride over the scaaaaaaary lake… It’s quite lierally a story book brought to life!

Author Tom Blofeld writes stories about Boggles and Twiggles and his books are the inspiration for the magical Be\wilderwood which is festooned with little houses in the trees and bogs. Such an enchanting place to be and they go all out for Easter and Halloween which, with the glorious glowing lantern parade at the end of the day is our absolute favourite time of year to visit. We look forward to crafting our laterns before carrying them out through the beautifully lit park in the parade all year and this half term just gone didn’t disappoint! The only down side is that it marks the end of the year for BeWILDerwood and now we have to wait until February half term before we can visit again! I just had to share with you my pictures of our recent visit and say when you’re in Norfolk make sure you visit, it’s such a treat!

Here’s my gallery from our last visit of 2016 to BeWILDerwood!

BeWILDerwood opens again in February half term and some weekends in February and March before properly opening for the season on the 19th March.

We bought our own annual passes for BeWILDerwood (because we LOVE it) but they kindly allowed us to bring our friends for the day in return for an honest review.
