I’ve written about Warburtons bread lots of times in the past, we’re very fond of the sandwich thins in particular and the half and half wraps are brilliant for lunch boxes rolled up with cream cheese and ham. They’re both very quick to prepare as well as being tasty which, if you’re always late like I am and forget about lunches until the last minute, then both of these products are really helpful!
Warburtons and The British Heart Foundation have teamed up to educate the nation on the importance of maintaining a healthy balanced diet, which includes essential starchy carbohydrates such as bread, in order to maintain a healthy heart. As a family company, Warburtons aim is to put family at the heart of everything it does; so until the end of February, they have committed to donate 5p from the sale of every wholemeal loaf to the British Heart Foundation. This is part of their pledge to raise £1million to help keep British families hearts healthy.
We were sent some of the wholemeal bread to try out for ourselves and to create a Big Red Breakfast with in order to celebrate the start of the fund raising. We had lots of fun having a very special big red breakfast and you can too. Pick up a loaf from Warburtons and host a Red Breakfast with family, friends or colleagues of your very own. Just by doing that you will be helping to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation as well as having a fab breakfast and lots of fun! You can even win a Red Breakfast kit if you head on over to the Warburtons Facebook page where you can also find lots of REDcipe inspiration.
