Christmas Cocktails With Kingsland Drinks Prosecco!

Christmas Cocktails With Kingsland Drinks Prosecco!

I love Prosecco, possibly more than Champagne would you believe. With the exception of one particular brand I find I can’t drink too much Champagne whereas with Prosecco, well… Let’s say I can! That’s not to say I should, well not TOO much at least, a little bit of what you fancy definitely does you good! And I usually fancy a Prosecco while I also love nothing more than adding flavours to make fizz cocktails, but I do always like to use the best Prosecco I can find to do this. It’s a common myth that cheaper bottles can be used, like a ropey bottle of red to spice up the gravy, in cocktails but I’m a firm believer that you actually need a great Prosecco to make a cocktail work. We’ve all been there with Passion fruit martinis, in a bar with sticky floors and pre-made cocktail mix with a chaser of what’s almost certainly Cava on the side and it is NOT good. Yet when a passion fruit martini is done well, using the best Prosecco possible, then it’s my absolute drink of choice. I’ve been using Corte Molino Brut from Kingsland Drinks for mine and they’ve come out beautifully. The perfect Christmas cocktail (well, any time of year really but they’re so special that at Christmas they do shine) and here’s how I make mine!

FOR TWO:

  • 50ml of Vanilla Syrup
  • The juice of one lime
  • 50ml of the best Vodka you can buy
  • 50ml of Pasoa
  • The seeds of one passion fruit and another cut in half for decoration
  • A handful of ice
  • Corte Molino Prosecco Brut Doc from Kingsland Drinks to top

Method – Put the ice together with all the ingredients bar the Prosecco and decoration passion fruit into a cocktail shaker and give it a good mix until the metal is far too cold to touch! Then strain into two coupe glasses equally before topping with the Prosecco and adding half a passion fruit (seeds side up) to each drink! Enjoy – But beware, this is how you can end up drinking too much Prosecco!

Another great way to enjoy Prosecco if you don’t want to have it on its own (and these two from the Kingsland Drinks offering of Corte Molino brand are very drinkable and celebratory on their own), is simply with a measure if Chambord, topped with the Corte Molino Rose Doc and garnished with a fresh raspberry. DELICIOUS and extremely festive in colour!

Kingsland Drinks are an independent supplier of wines and spirits who pride themselves with working sustainably as a world class service provider both to individuals and to wholesale. I know very little about wine other than the fact that I like it but these guys know it all, so that I don’t have to. When they said this Prosecco would be great for the Christmas dinner table I knew I could trust that they’d be right, and they are! Thanks Kingsland, great Prosecco with a fab service which delivered speedily and was very well packaged in an environmentally friendly way. Massive cheers!

Collaboration.
