Dearest Posie – You Are One Month Old!

Dearest Posie,

You are one month old already – how did that happen? One month ago you literally burst out like a little rocket and we’ve not been able to imagine how we didn’t have you before that ever since! You are such a huge part of our now very big family and so loved by us all – your big brothers and sister have been unbelievable at adapting to having one more and I see in their eyes all the love. I am so proud of all four of you. I’d wondered if Raffie might be jealous but he loves you so much and wants to hold you all the time, he is just a totally smitten kitten! I knew Jimmy would be fine with you arriving but had no idea he’d fall so head over heels and if Raffie isn’t holding you then it will be Jimmy – he said “I’d no idea how lovely it is to hold a baby Mummy” and he gazes at you with this total adoration. And Florence, of course, is like your second Mummy. You look exactly the same as she did as a baby and it makes me feel like I’ve gone back in time looking at you sometimes. Watching Florence hold you is mega lovely and mega strange and you two just have this special bond I can see already at just one month old!

You are beginning to smile, beginning to have a bit of colic, you have uncurled a little and yet still fit into your TINY baby clothes. You have grown promise but you are such a dinky dot and we love you, love you, love you and your velventeen cheeks as Daddy named them!
