An exciting Sunday morning saw us take a trip into central London for the premiere screening of something very special from Disney last weekend!
We couldn’t help but enjoy this particular viewing because, let’s face it, who isn’t a fan of The Lion King and The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar is the next part of the story! The story and songs from the original film are so famous, so loved and so well known and now, finally, we are getting a follow up that we are well and truly giving the thumbs up to!
Just like the original it’s set in the African Savanna. James Earl Jones and Ernie Sabella have reprised their roles as Mufasa and Pumbaa alongside other big names and now that Simba and Nala are all grown up, this one’s about their second born cub, Kion!
It follows Kion as he brings together the members of the Lion Guard! This is traditionally the most fierce, brave, fast, strong and sharp lions in a band to protect the pride lands. But… Kion may know more than his elders and instead he chooses his Lion Guard quite differently… Will it work?
Well, you’ll have to watch the movie to find out hit the best part is that you won’t have to wait for it to come out at the flicks! This one is a made for television feature which begins a whole new series to be shown on Disney Junior!
On February 8th and 5.30pm it will be shown on Disney Junior for the first time with the series following behind in April!
We thought it was very entertaining and it defintely left us wanting more! I’d say it’s not often Disney get things Wrong and The Lion Guard is no exception! Some old and loved characters coupled with lots of new ones too, an exciting story line and lots of Disney magic! What more could you ask for?!
So, don’t forget, Disney Junior, 8th Feb, 5.30pm! You def don’t want to miss this one!
