#StokkeOnTheGo!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

After extensive use of my Stokke Xplory on all terrains, in London, the countryside, wet weather, snow, sunshine, on public transport, going around shops (you get the picture)… I can confirm that all my initial findings were absolutely spot on! I wrote about it back in June here with a detailed review and my love for the push chair has only gone from strength to strength.

Jimmy is three and a half but he doesn’t like to walk much and I really don’t think our buggy days are over with him for a while yet. He absolutely loves being high up in his Xplory and because the seat is very roomy he fits perfectly in it too. It’s cofortable for him and super easy to use on all different terrains. Strangely, as it looks quite big, it’s also very handy on public transport. It’s not heavy, it pushes well and it’s easy for people to help lift when needed, up and down stairs.

I’ve found lots of tricks about it that I like such as flipping the back wheels to make it easy to pull on sand and switching from forward to parent facing is done in seconds. Jimmy does like to look at his Mummy for some reason (hey, I’m just peased someone does!) and we change it up often!

I also love how the style kits are a very inexpensive way of making it look like a new buggy. So many people at the school gates exclaim ‘Have you got ANOTHER buggy?’ when all I’ve done is switch fabrics. I’ve been totally and uttely immersed into the Stokke world and boy oh boy it IS a world! There are Facebook groups dedicated to this brand just because people love it. Not for any other reason other than to chat about their favourite Stokke pieces and share cute pictures! The Xplory is absolutely one of the most talked about in these forums, I’m definitely not in the minority when I say how much I Like it. It’s strange to see something on social media when people are saying good things, usually people like to use this sort of forum to vent but nope, when it comes to Stokke, the love is all felt and I’ve joined in too!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Xplory (AND all the compliments I get about it)!

Like I mentioned, I’ve used it EVERYWHERE but recently we’ve been all over London with it for a special Stokke On The Go project. Stokke and Made For Mums teamed up with nine blogging mum’s to take their iconic Stokke buggies to different locations across the UK. The aim of the project is to show how versatile they are in all different situations and what better way to do that than to make cute videos of all the different locations. Check them all out on the Stokke micro site here! Make sure you check out my London video (below) and also take a little look at my Southern blogging pal Chelle from The Mumngton Post. Her video is set in Brighton (use the map on the microsite and click on it), a completely different world to London so the contrast of our days with our Stokke buggies is vast!

My original Xplory came with black fabrics which I adore but it was great to have a switch about too!

In the summer I had the Grid Style Kit which is really fresh and different. It made the buggy stand out and surprisingly didn’t get too grubby either (it does go in the washing machine if needed though)!

And in the Autumn I have been using the gorgeous burgundy which is actually Jimmy’s favourite. I’ve switched back to the Grid this week as I need to give the Burgundy a wash after a particularly messy ‘on the go’ lunch but it’s perfect for colder weather and I get som many compliments about it!

It’s fabulous that you can just keep changing and changing this push chair on a whim. Plus, have you SEEN the winter kits and those gorgouse hand muffs? WOW!

If we are lucky enough to have another baby soon then I definitely want to try out the Xplory with the carrycot. It’s a wonderful, eye catching push chair which works as you need it to, when you need it to! I have visions of the carrycot and those gorgeous winter kits. Here’s hoping…
