Draper James X Lands’ End Summer Collection!
I had my first introduction to the Draper James X Lands’ End collection, the Lands’ End collaboration with Hollywood’s Reese Witherspoon a while back when I was kindly gifted some of their gorgeous nightwear to see me through winter. I loved the prints and incredible quality of the nightshirt and slippers so was super keen to see the latest collection for summer. Of course with sunshine and this season it’s all about swimwear so I was spoiled for choice choosing a couple of pieces to show you from the extensive new SS22 range!
I chose the piece Reese herself is seen wearing for the intro to the collection on the Land’s End website, the Women’s Draper James x Lands’ End Light Control Chlorine Resistant Wrap Swimsuit and the matching Draper James x Lands’ End Print Quick Dry Mesh Zip Top Beach Tote!
While the colours perfectly match my garden Tiki bar, they were calling out for a beach trip so who was I to resist! I wore my new H&M smocking detail dress (£12.99 and I have it in 3 different colours) over the top with the swimming costume underneath and when I shared it on Instagram recently I had loads of messages about it for it is really gorgeous!
I love it! LOVE IT! I’ll be honest with you, I don’t usually spend much money on swimwear and because of that I did balk at the price (£95) but having worn it I can see now why spending a bit more on swimwear is a great investment. It fits me really well (I chose a size 12 and honestly, in most things I’m more a 10 but I always think a size up in swimwear in necessary and it is here) and it holds me in where I want to be held in and holds me up where gravity has let me down. It’s a fine investment indeed, not to mention that there’s currently a code to give you 40% off making it a very reasonable £60.95!
Likewise the bag, as a full price item, can use the same code and instead of being £60, is £36!
The bag is ace, strong and roomy with a waterproof zipped pocket at the bottom the perfect size for a damp towel and wet swimming costume! I am so pleased with the due, a really striking set that I will relish wearing and using in the UK but absolutely can’t wait to take to Tenerife with me this summer. Bright, vibrant, excellent value and most importantly, really well fitting!
