Fairy Garden!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.
Asked would Florence like to create a magical fairy garden using a craft box fairy kit and I knew immediately what her answer would be. Probably what every little girl’s answer would be! A fairy garden just sounds so lovely and pretty and girlie so of course it was a yes please!
Interplay make the kit which encourages craft and using your own imagination to make the garden beautiful and fit for a fairy as well as providing everything you need to copy the one on the box. It comes with the bowl, a house, a washing line, some washing to hang out, coloured stones to make a path, a shell to make a pond, mushroom and flower decorations, grass seeds, sequins (fairy dust) and even a fairy.
It also comes with a booklet activity guide to help you make the garden up along with some tips to bespoke it to how you want it to be by adding extras!
Aimed at ages 4+ this was just up Florence’s street and she enjoyed absolutely everything about it. All you need to add is soil and because we haven’t got a garden we popped to our local community garden to ask if we could have some of theirs. Not only did they give us a carrier bag full but also some spring onion seeds and cress seeds so that Florence’s fairy could grow a kitchen garden in one patch!

We went to get soil at our local community garden!
And then, with a little help from Daddy, she put her fairy garden together, sprinkling with her grass, cress and spring onion seeds and a touch of fairy dust to finish it off!

The beautiful finished product!
Next we just had to wait! But not long! First came the cress and then the grass and suddenly the garden looked very magical indeed! When there’s a bit more grass we are going to snip it down with scissors and in the next few days we are going to have cress and cream cheese sandwiches – we might even make one for the fairy! No spring onions yet but soon we hope!

It’s grown!
We love the kit and at £12.99 it’s a brilliant price. It’s a great starting point and then like us you can add bits and bobs. We were actually missing the washing line from our kit but we didn’t mind as we just improvised with a piece of string and I think it could use a few more grass seeds, our lawn is quite sparse but they’re minor cons to an otherwise excellent kit!
Don’t you think the kit is just lovely!
We were sent eh fairy garden kit for the purpose of an honest review.
