When we last went to The Baby Show, Fisher Price invited us to come and have a private party with them as part of our day and find out all about the Laugh and Learn range. Jimmy was rather taken with the vacuum cleaner toy in particular and last week Fisher Price asked me if I’d like to review it on my blog.

The Fisher Price Vacuum Toy from the Laugh and Learn range!

It arrived and Jimmy immediately got to play!

It’s the perfect size for him and because it sings, counts and makes real vacuum cleaner noises depending on what setting it’s on, he’s had lots and lots of different pay with it already! He certainly knows what it’s for and so does Florence whose also taken a bit of a shine to it and they have both been busily hoovering away the carpets!

Florence thinks it’s great too!

I love that he really does learn from these Fisher Price toys (we have a few) and with his counting pig he has learned to count some numbers already! The vacuum is new and so he is more interested in it but he can still continue counting! There’s lots of buttons to push and knobs to turn and as you hoover the cylinder rotates round! These are all things which entertain someone of Jimmy’s age and for Florence the fact that it makes realistic vacuum sounds is perfect! It’s a fab toy for pretend play which is just up Florence’s street!

Major plus points for me as a parent are that it lies down quite flat and is easy to store, has two volumes so can be quite quiet but still entertaining for the children and the packaging is so brilliant it totally deserves a mention! I can’t bear it when things are welded in to boxes with plastic and this was simply tied in with string which was easy to untie and get out the box quickly! It also came WITH batteries! Brilliant! My only down side would be that it doesn’t ACTUALLY vacuum the floor – if it did I’d not have had to get my own vacuum cleaner out this week as the children would have easily done it all with the toy!
