Get A Square Meal When Visiting Ireland!
I love to travel but sadly haven’t spent enough time in Ireland. I went once to Dublin on a hen do which if I’m honest was not up my street. I’m not really a bar crawl kinda gal and with the rest of the party wanting to drink till dawn and then eat in fast food chains I removed myself and di my own thing. Bit boring perhaps but you know what? I was in this incredible country, in the city that I’d dreamed of visiting ever since reading all the Maeve Binchy books, and I wanted to eat great food and experience the real Dublin!
So on my own I set about finding little things I’d read about, taking walks through St Stephens Green as did so many of the characters in the stories I loved reading by Maeve and found myself lovely little places to eat and drink. It was utterly fabulous and though I may not be in any of the drunken pictures, I swear I had a better time than anyone else. Trips for me are about food and visuals and I certainly gave myself that! As well as lots of inspiration for my own recipes at home!
We don’t travel enough within close proximity and if you’re a foodie like me then that’s a crying shame for Ireland has some absolutely incredible chefs and restaurants and this is why I must make another visit to the Emerald Isle. I want to see more of the green pastures, coastal areas and of course take advantage of the modern and delicious cuisine I read about for Ireland definitely has some of the best, most sought after eateries with talented chefs at the helm!
Square Meal IE will be able to direct you to the discovery of the best chefs in the country and as such, the most sought after places to go and eat. A one stop shop for all things Irish and foodie with the restaurants set out in area and information on the chefs that make them tick!
Stepping inside a Maeve Binchy novel gives you a real flavour for Ireland, Dublin in particular. You can almost taste the meals she describes in detail and reading the in-depth biographies of the chefs at Square Meal IE is almost like stepping into one of her books. Food is about far more than just the delivery of a tasty plate, it should come with depth, meaning and story, something the Irish do so well in and their restaurant scene being no exception. Learning about how different restaurants have a heart beat is a really important way of choosing where to dine for me and the substantial detail on each chef and their back story is really inviting when making decisions.
Flights to Ireland are pretty inexpensive if you use SkyScanner to get the best options and then you have more money into finding the culture and eateries that will suit you best, Somewhere blustery and wind swept on the beach, or vibrant and captivating in the city, whatever it is you’re after you will be able to find advice and help to get to the best bit of the book, the part where you sit down to enjoy good food and great atmosphere somewhere new.
Collaboration.
