Including Your Kids in Your Wedding Anniversary Celebrations: 5 Unique Ideas

Wedding anniversaries are all about spending time with your partner, to remind yourselves of how far you’ve come since your special day. And whilst many couples spend the day on their own going on couple’s dates, some simply don’t have that luxury. But that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate your anniversary. Here are some of our favourite unique ways to get your kids involved in your anniversary celebrations:

  1. Make Your Own Anniversary Cards

Paper is the first gift idea on the anniversary milestone list after all. So, if your kids are around for your first wedding anniversary, we think getting them to create cards for you and your partner to give to each other is a cute way to celebrate. They’re homemade, and it just makes the card giving that little bit more personal. And they’re great little keepsakes for the memory box too! And a custom wedding gift bobbleheads is perfect for this wedding!

  • Go On a Vacation/Staycation

For some, anniversaries are all about making memories. And what better way than planning a vacation/staycation away with the whole family! Granted, the location may vary depending on how old your kids are. But, if you make it into a big family holiday, you might be able to sneak a night or two away as a couple to really celebrate!

  • Big Family Picnic

There are few things more wholesome than a big family picnic in the sunshine! Think sandwiches, snacky bits and cartons of your favourite juice. And we’re the kids will love having a play around in the great outdoors. What’s so fun about picnics is that you can have them anywhere. So, whether you’re a fan of the woods or fancy and trip down to the beach – the world is your oyster!

  • Make Fun Crafts Based on Your Wedding

There are a whole host of fun crafts for you to plan for your kids as part of your anniversary celebrations. You could print out your wedding pictures and get them to make little collages for your significant other. Or make little DIY stickers that they can use! There are so many cute, little crafts that you can do. The more creative the better really!

  • Family Meal Cooked with The Kids

Most people book in for a nice meal or cook for their partners to celebrate their anniversary. So why not get your kids involved (safely of course, not that we need to remind you!). Prepare you and your partners meals and let you kids be your personal sous chefs! Such a simple way to celebrate but a great way to make memories that last a lifetime.

Having your kids take part in your anniversary celebrations can be a fun and rewarding experience. And there are so many fantastic ways to get them involved too! They’re a symbol of you and your partners relationship, and what better way to celebrate your marriage than with the products of your love, arguably the greatest anniversary gifts ever!

Collaboration.
