It’s summer holidays time and that only means one thing! Bring on the fun! With six whole weeks at home, it is up to us as parents to build entertainment for our little ones! Days out and entertaining children can be super expensive though so as well as the odd trip out to a theme park for a treat we need to do some brilliant things at home too! We’re taking part in the Asda #SaveSummer challenge! This means that every week […]

The children and I have been enjoying all this lovely sunshine that Britain has been having. It’s been like being abroad but without having to travel anywhere. Most unusual for this country but hey, we’re going with it, it’s great! We’ve not been entirely geared up for it though I have to say and a lack of air conditioning in the house has made for fretful nights sleep as well as worrying about being out and about exposed to the […]
We went to see the new Smurfs film, Smurfs 2 and thought it was absolutely brilliant! We haven’t even seen Smurfs 1 but we still really enjoyed it and the story line was so lovely! I really appreciated the adult humor which would have gone completely over the children’s heads and found it a really good watch just for myself. We laughed out loud lots which I wasn’t expecting. I thought the children would enjoy it of course but I […]
I’ve saved the best till last when it comes to the sassy bath toys we’ve been reviewing. We’ve done quite a few over the past few weeks and hand on heart they’ve all been really lovely in different ways but this last toy has to be my own personal favourite and the children think it’s pretty good too! The Fishing Boat is made up of three pieces to the boat: the bottom which can be used as a scoop, the […]
We’ve been playing with more Sassy bath toys and this one is really lovely I have to say! The Pull and Go Boat is lots of fun, easy to use and has a rather cute character to drive it! There are two to choose from and we have the little penguin who is very sweet. Its a very dinky little boat which is perfect for tiny hands and the cord, which is quite short, is easy and loose to pull […]
Through the ever present Facebook it came to my attention that my first ever boyfriend got married a couple of weeks ago. I’m not actually friends with him on the social networking site but we have mutual friends and up popped a photo of him on his big day with his beautiful wife. I felt incredibly happy to see him looking so happy and so in love, it made me shed a tiny tear actually. Did it make me have a […]
We love to visit farms and have been very lucky to have been invited to review some absolutely brilliant ones for the blog. In one way it’s a shame that working farms have to make themselves a children’s attractions and diversify so greatly in order to survive but in another way, it’s often a much less expensive day out than a theme park and can be a wonderful family day. Often the farms we visit are still working to some […]
Florence loves the TV channel Nickelodeon and it’s sister station Nick Jr. Just like most children her age I would guess, she has some pretty favourite characters and Dora The Explorer is definitely one of them! She’s also been introduced to Sponge Bob Square Pants at some point and although I think she’s not terribly into the programme yet she certainly likes the character and calls him ‘Sponge Bob Poo Pants’ which she thinks is utterly hilarious! We were very […]
A couple of weeks ago I wrote about my beautiful friend Adriana’s new business Yaya Lala. Adriana is a fashion designer and her business sells shoes she has designed and had hand made by professional Artisans in Brazil. They are truly beautiful shoes! Yaya Lala is not just about Adriana’s amazing designs though, she also sells other people’s beautifully made products and is very selective with her tasteful eye as to what should be on her site. There are lots […]
I’ve been taking on the task of reviewing restaurants recently, it’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it I suppose! I’ve mostly had delightful meals which have been very enjoyable and last night I was invited to review another one. Another Italian restaurant no less and as I’ve been to an exceptional one recently, it crossed my mind as to how this one would compare? Making my way to Villagio in Hammersmith, another chain restaurant albeit a small one, […]
