Bunlimited – They’re the DOGS!

We were sent a glorious hamper of all things Bunlimited, the company who are the mother of all dogs, and we have to say we’re liking indeed! Liking very much!

So, who are Bunlimited and what do they do? They are the ultimate in hot diggidy dawg fodder and sell their dogs, Kits and condiments in your local supermarket! Weather you like a Classic or something more spicy they have everything you need to create your fave all American classic from home and their website also has some pretty inspiring recipes to recreate if you’re hunger is real but you’re all out of inspo!

I might also be able to help with a little bit of inspiration if you fancy something a bit spicy as I’ve created two recipes using the Bunlimited Mexican Dogs (Sainbury’s – £2 for 4), Bunlimited Chipotle Sauce (Asda – £1.25), Bunlimited Honey Mustard Sauce (Asda – £1.25), and the Bunlimited Crispy Onions (Asda – £1.25).

Creative hot dogs!

First up the Sweet Potato Chilli Dog!

To make the chilli (which is veggie because I like it best) for this one you will need 4 peeled and chopped sweet potatoes, 2 finely chopped red onions, 4 peeled and grated garlic cloves, a teaspoon each of cumin, curry powder and cinnamon, one tin of chopped tomatoes, a good squeeze of ketchup and another of Bunlimited Chipotle Sauce, a tin of drained black beans and 400ml of vegetable stock.

Sweat the onions and garlic before adding the sweet potatoes and frying for a few more minutes before adding the vegetable stock, spices, ketchup, chipotle sauce and tomatoes – bring to the boil then simmer for 20 minutes before squishing everything down with a potato masher then adding the black beans and season to taste. Keep simmering while you prep everything else!

EVERYTHING ELSE:

  1. Smash avocado with grated garlic, lemon juice and finish with a touch of cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.
  2. Finely chop red onion and tomatoes and mix them with lemon juice, olive oil and a chopped spring onion, salt and pepper.
  3. Buy the best soured cream you can find and grate some seriously strong cheddar.
  4. Cook the Bunlimited Mexican Dogs according to the packet then top with chilli, avo, salsa, soured cream and cheese! YUM!
Oh yeah!

Recipe numero deux is my spicey Kiss a Pig!

To make the coleslaw for this one you will need two peeled and grated carrots, one stick of finely sliced celery and one very finely sliced then chopped red onion, 3 tablespoons of Bunlimited Chipoltle Sauce and salt and pepper. Mix the whole lot together and you’re Romeo done! Add a bit of regular mayo if you like a little less fire in your slaw!

EVERYTHING ELSE!

  1. Wrap your Bunlimited Mexican Dogs with a slice of smoked bacon each and then bake in the oven at 180 for 25 minutes.
  2. Serve with regular ketchup, Bunlimited Honey Mustard Sauce and Bunlimited Crispy Onions.
  3. And Sweet potato wedges (lightly season and oil before baking alongside the dogs) with a bowl of the coleslaw!

Hpe you enjoy making your Bunlimited dogs as much as we have – they are super yummy and the best part is that they are super easy!
