Tommee Tippee – Soothers!

Posted in Uncategorized

I have had a funny relationship with dummies. I started out absolutely not wanting Florence to have one because I couldn’t bear the way they look and then through exasperation one evening when she wouldn’t sleep, I tried one. She took it for about half an hour and that was that! Never again. I was gutted as the dummy had provided just a bit of a break that evening and I relentlessly tried to give her one afterwards but just […]

Barbie The Pearl Princess At Vue’s Kids AM!

Posted in Uncategorized

I’ve talked before about what a wonderful deal I think the Kids AM screenings are at Vue cinemas! We go lots and at £1.75 per person, adult or child, it’s easy to see why! The films are usually only a month or so after they came out and very rarely do we now ever take Florence to see anything if it’s not on the Kids AM. I’ll admit last week we did go to a special sing-along version of Frozen which […]

Schleich Horses!

Posted in Uncategorized

A while ago, when visiting my good friend Ra Ra, one of the best Aunties in the world, she got her toy box (all good aunties have these) for Jimmy to play with. Florence was staying at my Dad’s and Jimmy and I were having a night with Auntie Ra Ra who lives close by. She doesn’t have any children of her own but a rather fantastic niece (real) and quite a few nieces and nephews (adopted) from friends. It […]

Baby Show Brilliance!

Posted in Uncategorized

I LOVED The Baby Show the first time I went; I had masses of fun as a customer and with my sister-law pregnant I convinced her to buy a Bugaboo Cameleon. Now anyone who knows me will understand why that was so exciting for me, I adore Bugaboos! She bought it from Mothercare having found a deal elsewhere which they did a show special and matched! That way she managed to get the best deal but with the utter assurances […]

Olly The Little White Van Book Collection!

Posted in Uncategorized

My boy very fast became a fan of Olly The Little White Van when we reviewed the new DVD. Jimmy is a fan of most wheeled things and when he gets to have the TV free of Princesses he would choose nothing but car, train and any other type of vehicle shows to watch! He’s become really fond of Olly and his helpful little ways and I think the show has a really great message to help other people! I […]

Tube Ettiquete!

Posted in Uncategorized

Travelling on London’s tube network with small children in buggies is no mean feat! The system is so ancient that there are very often not even escalators let alone lifts! Heaving buggies, babies, toddlers and bags up and down flights and flights of stairs is hard work, often nobody offers to help you and it’s down to us super Mum’s to get ourselves from A to B. I guess I don’t mind that so much but boy is it appreciated […]

#BeeInTheCity – Go To Jail!

Posted in Uncategorized

We were in the City today watching a bit of theatre and having a mooch around our favourite places afterwards with the help of our trusty Bugaboo Bee! We went to the Science Museum, which we love, but it was very packed being half term so after a little while we decided to grab an ice cream (the sun came out – seriously) and head on up through Hyde Park to the Princess Diana Playground! We love walking through London […]

The Little Red Hen – Lyric Hammersmith!

Posted in Uncategorized

We love a bit of children’s theatre, you may have guessed from my many, many blog post reviews about the wonderful things we are so lucky to go and see. In London we have our favourite theatres for this genre, there’s not many but one or two we just want to go back and visit time and time again because they just get it. They do it so well. The Lyric Hammersmith is one of these venues, it has a […]

Pancake Day – Warburtons Have Their Name All Over It!

Posted in Uncategorized

My friends at Warburtons asked me if I’d like some pancakes to try ahead of pancake day next month! Never one to turn down a bit of carbohydrate and I selflessly accepted – Well, I’m kind like that and if I don’t try the pancakes for them then someone else would have to do it wouldn’t they! I’m nothing if not giving! I expected a packet of pancakes… What I actually got was an all singing (absolutely true) box of […]

It’s A Gruffalo Puzzle!

Posted in Uncategorized

We love The Gruffalo! We’re lucky and live close to Thorndon Country Park where we get to go on the Gruffalo trail and find him (and his pals from the book) in the woods from time to time and somewhere along the line Jimmy has become the biggest fan of all of us! My best friend bought him a Gruffalo hat for Christmas and he wears it ALL the time. Even in the house. He constantly asks for his ‘Grulo […]
