Pensthorpe For February Half Term 2024!

Pensthorpe For February Half Term 2024!

We are year round visitors to Pensthorpe taking full advantage of our annual pass which allows us visits even in school holidays! Posie and I regularly trip there during the week to have fun in the daily “messy mornings” held at the indoor play space “Hootz House” (all included in the entry price), followed by fun in the play area, gardens and wonderful playground, but in the school holidays we always like to go as a whole family!

Of course, Pensthorpe is a fantastic place to visit whatever the weather and season, and there’s always plenty to see and do for all ages. It is, however, the school holidays which really make that annual ticket worth its weight on gold. They go all out in each season and for just £60 per adult (£55 for seniors over 60 and children), it’s absolutely phenomenal value. Day tickets are also reasonably priced with the winter seasonal price being £10.95, £9.95 or FREE if you’re under 3, and even better when you find out they are weather protected. I mean Pensthorpe obviously can’t actually control the rain, they’re a bit magical but that’s a bit out of their reach, however they do promise that if it does rain, for a consecutive hour or more, when you visit, then they will gift you a return ticket to try again on a dryer day. So it’s never with worry that you’ll waste your money.

And as we are coming up to a half term holiday next week then there’s no better time to tell you what’s on at Pensthorpe for the break. Between the 17th and the 25th of February 2024, Pensthorpe are offering all of which they do every other day of the year, including the indoor and outdoor play spaces suitable from tiny, tiny tots to very big grown ups (like me – you’ve not lived until you’ve flown off the end of their slides wearing cheap polyester), the flamingos and other wildlife to visit, beautiful walks and lots of things to see and do all the way around the lake, but also they have brought back their wonderfully fun “poo trail!”

The “poo trail” invites such a lot of fun conversations with little ones, in our house especially with the boys! As you find each pot of dung, read the information about it and devour everything each one delivers with glee, you actually end up learning a lot about animals too. The children LOVE that it’s all REAL poo too. In fact, that almost makes it the best bit. It truly is such an enlightened trail with lots of icky bits to thrill the children with.

So, if you’re looking for a brilliant day out with the kids in Norfolk this half term then look no further, Pensthorpe has SO much on offer and I can guarantee you all a fabulous day out. We’ll be there, will you?!
