Father Christmas At The Lyric Hammersmith!

Last year we went to see Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas at the Lyric Hammersmith and we wrote just the other day how looking forward to going again this year we were! Today was the day and yet again we have come away absolutely bowled over with what a wonderful production it is! It is ridiculously clever and so beautifully done. It’s so perfect in fact that it’s almost as if the illustrations from this popular book have just danced off […]

Busy Bodies On Line!

I really enjoy using social media. As a blogger it is of course imperative and I have found being without my usual phone access (while mine is in for repair) quite annoying! I check Twitter and Facebook all the time as usually they are on my phone and with any lull in the day, moments when I am in a queue for example and it is my phone that I reach for to alleviate boredom. I love reading my friend’s […]

Christmas Perfection!

Perfection at Christmas, so what could that be? Mum’s up at 4, boy it makes her grumpy! She sings in the kitchen, it wakes us all up I turn back to a teen and shout ‘Do shurrrrup’!   We all get out of bed, stockings ripped apart Big grins are on, forgotten the early start! We nibble on smoked salmon breakfasts, I’m not sure why? With bagels it’s tradition without it we would cry!   It’s time to get dressed, […]

Tonight I am off to the opening of the newly revamped Mothercare store on Oxford Street. It’s going to be terribly exciting with lots of celebrities, the biggest of whom being Father Christmas! If you have little impatient ones who can’t wait for the sleeps to be over then you need to keep an eye on the […]

Gorgeous Suits Snow!

A few weeks ago my Mum bought Florence a coat to keep at her house over the winter. My Mum often buys clothes and bits to keep at hers so that if we forget to bring stuff it doesn’t matter or just to help us with the packing. She’s really good like that and it’s always helped me out that I don’t have to pack masses of stuff! She doesn’t spend a fortune on things though and just picks up […]

Happy Christmas With Britmums And Morrisons!

Today has been an awful lot about cake! It won’t have done much for my waist line but it has been rather yummy and very festive all in one as I attended the BritMums Christmas do – What Christmas do is worth its salt without cake anyway? Before I even left I was thinking about cake and arranged this in the kitchen for ‘Daddy Day Care’ to make brownies with the children while I was out! Little did I know […]

Father Christmas Hits London!

Last year I wrote about the fabulous time we had at the Lyric Theatre when we went to see Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas on stage! It was truly superb and we have talked about it ever since. In fact, most times we mention Father Christmas Florence says ‘Do you remember when he did a poo at the theatre?’ (There is a fiercely funny scene you see!) We absolutely loved this interpretation of the well known story and we asked very […]
