Bunk Up!

Posted in Uncategorized

We co-slept with Florence from when she was three weeks old. I spent those first weeks up and down every twenty minutes trying to get her settled in the moses basket but realised the only time she ever relaxed and actually went to sleep was when I gave in and sat down on the bed. In she came then and in she stayed until her brother was nearly here! Having had my baby in bed with me the first time […]

The A To Z Of Me!

Posted in Uncategorized

A while back Jo from Sit Still Monkeys tagged me in a Meme and I forgot to pick it up and run with it! Hopefully I’m not TOO late! The A-Z of Ruthie then… Tune out now if you don’t care to hear a few mundane and ridiculous facts about me but if you’re a little bit nosey then you might just like it! A Ageing: It’s my latest appearance obsession. I pretty much always have one so I guess […]

Christmas With Asda!

Posted in Uncategorized

I wrote lots about Christmas with Asda last year because I was super impressed with their Extra Special range which is created with the Leiths School of cookery. The Christmas nibbles in particular were absolutely delicious and I have continued to buy from the range throughout the year. I haven’t written much this year as I have been busy with other projects but I think I may have overlooked what Asda have to offer! I DID write about their fantastic […]

Santa’s Spectacular At Willows Farm Village!

Posted in Uncategorized

We love Willows Farm Village in Hertfordshire. It’s absolutely one of the best days out for a family and even though it’s not in London where we live, it’s super easy to get to. We live East and it takes about half an hour in the car but you can even reach it on public transport so you definitely don’t have to drive! We went yesterday for a festive family day out and had such an awesome day! We like […]

Putting On The Ritz!

Posted in Uncategorized

I love walking through London, there’s something about it that’s not quite like any other place I’ve ever been! At Christmas time in the West End it’s even more exciting and with lights and sparkles everywhere it’s really quite magical even. Being in the West End makes me want to do lots of things one might do as a tourist but not as a resident… I’ve always wanted to go for afternoon tea at The Ritz for example. I don’t […]

Peppa Pig’s Big Splash!

Posted in Uncategorized

We loved Peppa Pig’s Treasure Hunt when we saw it, the first live stage show of one of our favourite ever programmes! We saw it twice we loved it so much in fact! It was totally brilliant and because Florence has always been such a massive Peppa Pig fan, it was a really magical experience for her! The first time we went Florence wasn’t quite two but yesterday talked in detail about that visit to the theatre and who we […]

Party At Clarks!

Posted in Uncategorized

When I was a child I remember being dragged shoe shopping and it was always to Clarks. Back then Clarks didn’t do pointy shoes like I wanted. They didn’t really do colourful shoes like I wanted either and they definitely didn’t do shoes with heels like I was desperate for. Clarks did shoes my Mum called sensible… And I’ve never been a ‘sensible’ lover… There was one pair I liked but only one and I still remember the shock I […]

Elf Magic – #25Sleeps!

Posted in Uncategorized

In the sleeps up to Christmas we are doing a little bit more than just opening the doors of our advent calendars! This year, we have elves! I wrote about our elfing plans last week; about how we are having two cheeky elves doing minxy things every night to surprise the children! Sometimes they are bringing little presents and other times they just do funny or even rather naughty things to amuse us! So… A few days into our elf adventure […]

Get Your Mark Darcy On To ‘Save The Children’!

Help Save the Children Make the World Better with a Sweater! This is what my invitation said when I opened the email last week. We were invited to come and have a special story time with Save the Children at their Woolly Wonderland station based in the Westfield Stratford shopping centre and learn more about a special project they have on… So, what’s this Woolly Wonderland all about then? On Friday 13th December 2013 Save the Children is calling upon people across the UK […]

Postcards! #MarkWarnerMum!

Posted in Uncategorized

When I was little my Mum and I went on lots of lovely holidays. I was very lucky and she worked extremely hard as a single Mum to make sure we had those experiences together. It gave me the holiday bug and taught me so much about life in other countries, with other cultures and beliefs. It gave me an education which I have never stopped subscribing to the school of. I’ve since passed on my holiday vibe to my […]
