Naked Pea – The One Ingredient Protein Powder From Naked Nutrition!

If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ll know I’m always on the lookout for little changes that make life feel a bit easier without turning me into someone who needs a separate cupboard just for supplements (although i am getting close so having to prioritise the very best ones). Recently I’ve been using Naked Nutrition’s Naked Pea (definitely a keeper) and it’s become one of those things I reach for almost without thinking. It’s so wonderfully simple. One ingredient. Just pea protein extracted from yellow split peas, grown on US and Canadian farms.
No fillers.
No sweeteners.
No strange extras pretending to be helpful. Just the good stuff, exactly as it should be.

Pea protein is brilliant because the body absorbs it so easily. If you’ve ever tried whey and felt heavy or bloated afterwards, you’ll know why this matters and certainly for me, it’s something that I have found off putting with other types of protein. Naked Pea is a genuinely premium option, not just because it’s clean but because of how it’s made. The protein is extracted using a mechanical water process rather than chemicals, which keeps the amino acid profile intact and gives you a proper, high‑quality plant‑based protein. You get twenty‑seven grams of protein per serving and it’s vegan, gluten free, soy free and GMO free. It’s also independently third‑party tested for heavy metals, which is exactly the kind of reassurance you want when you’re adding something to your daily routine. This is not a fad like I am sure some others definitely are!
I trust Naked Nutrition, have been a customer before and have regularly used their collagen (which I love) so I know they don’t promite gimmicks!
One thing Naked Nutrition says that I really appreciate is that additives are usually there for the supplement industry’s bottom line, not your health. And honestly, once you start paying attention, you realise how true that is. Naked Pea is free from all of that. No artificial sweeteners. No flavours. No colours. Just a straight line from environmentally friendly farms to your kitchen. It’s refreshing to find a product that doesn’t try to be clever. It just tries to be honest, and at the same time does its job rather well.

And now we get to the fun part. You can even put it in brownies. Yes, brownies. Healthy ones, that still taste like proper fudgy chocolate heaven. These are the kind you make “for the kids” but somehow end up eating half the tray yourself. You mix almond flour with cocoa and a scoop of Naked Pea, whisk it all together with eggs, coconut oil, maple syrup and vanilla, and the batter turns thick and glossy in that way that makes you feel like you’re already winning (recipe at the bottom of this post). Once they’re baked, they’re soft in the middle, slightly crisp at the edges and full of chocolatey goodness. They’re perfect for an afternoon pick‑me‑up or a post‑workout treat that doesn’t feel remotely like a compromise and they, of course, gift that benefit of Naked Pea!
The best thing about Naked Pea is how easily it slips into everything else you’re already doing, it doesn’t have to be brownies but your every day life. Whisk a scoop into smoothies which become thicker and more satisfying instantly. A banana, a splash of oat milk, maybe a spoonful of peanut butter, can be the taste sensation and with the Naked Pea suddenly you’ve got something that tastes like a milkshake but actually keeps you full. Even your morning coffee can get a little protein boost. Stir it in or give it a quick blend and you’ve got a creamy, frothy latte that feels like a tiny act of self‑care before the day kicks off.
I’ve added Naked Pea to pancakes, stirred it into overnight oats and even whisked it into soups when I’m trying to sneak a bit more nutrition into dinner. Because it doesn’t have any artificial flavours or colours, it just melts into whatever you’re making. No chalky taste. No weird texture. Just a quiet upgrade that makes you feel like you’re doing something good for yourself without turning into someone who needs a spreadsheet to track their protein intake. It’s like my equivalent of “hidden veg” in the pasta sauce I make for the kids, but in protein form and for me.
So, how about those brownies then? Here you go, I’m no gate keeper after all!
Fudgy High‑Protein Chocolate Brownies with Naked Pea
Ingredients:
240g almond flour, 50g cocoa powder, 60g Naked Pea protein, 120ml maple syrup or runny honey, 60ml melted coconut oil, 2 medium eggs (or flax eggs for vegan), 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ½ teaspoon baking soda, a pinch of salt (optional) and a handful of dark chocolate chips.
Method:
Heat your oven to 175°C and line a small baking tin. Mix the almond flour, cocoa powder, Naked Pea, baking soda and salt in one bowl. Whisk the eggs, coconut oil, maple syrup and vanilla in another. Combine the two mixtures until smooth and glossy. Fold in chocolate chips if you fancy them. Spread the batter into the tin and bake for around 18 to 22 minutes until the centre is just set. Let them cool completely for maximum fudginess.
