October 2022 At Pensthorpe!

October 2022 At Pensthorpe!

We love ALL the seasons at Pensthorpe. The gardens change and move and grow. They become different colours and different places yet one thing is always the same, it’s a calm and beautiful place to be. I like each season for different reasons and have different places I like to walk depending on the weather and at Halloween half term, a time we have always been very fond of a visit in particular, my favourite way to visit is to walk all the way around the big lake taking in the games and challenges set o0ut along the pathway and lake and end up with a visit to the flamingo enclosure via a den build before finishing in the park and a finale in Hootz House! Booking is a must, as always when the schools are off because it will get very busy and though even when at capacity this place feels vast and spacious, you will notice your mistake if you’ve not pre-booked your Hootz House slot in advance of your visit! So, top tip done… (Oh and another is take a flask of warming soup for this season if you’re not planning on visiting the delicious cafe instead) and what’s on in particular for this coming half term of Halloween fun?!

Pensthorpe are calling all monsters, ghouls and vampires for a fang-tastic half term of poisons and potions where two different trails (we love a Pensthorpe trail) invite the children to enter into a ghoulish abundance of fun. Search out the magic bottles in the park to find the poisons and potions and take on another trail around the WildRootz outdoor play area too! There will be pumpkin carving (£3 per pumpkin and bookable here) and spooky Halloween crafts as well as pop up Halloween themed wildlife sessions. Everything aside from the pumpkin carving is included in the ticket price as are the regular activities and play!

We love Pensthorpe and can’t wait to visit over half term where we will simply have to take a dip into the cafe to try out their devilishly tasty Halloween treats – will we see you there?!

Edit: We had a BRILLIANT time when we visited and I just had to share the pics from our wonderful day!

I work with Pensthorpe year round.
