Pensthorpe And Poo For February Half Term!
I wouldn’t ordinarily put the words “poo” and “Pensthorpe” together, Pensthorpe Natural Park being the antithesis of poo, however, this half term they’re embracing the plops in a big way!
Pensthorpe, always a favourite with not just us, but actually anyone I’ve ever spoken to who’s visited, has geared itself up for the holidays with not one, but TWO trails especially for the school break and the theme? It’s all about poo! What kid isn’t fascinated by poo eh? My boys in particular are obsessed and have regularly enjoyed playing Plop Trumps (the poo version of Top Trumps) as well as all their other poo related shenanigans (hiding a fake poo, letting off whoopie cushions, telling poo jokes… It goes on…) and they are selling that, along with lots of other poo related games in the shop! Oh… And the cafe is serving poo themed cupcakes and cookies – I mean!
As well as all the poop there’s everything you know and love about Pensthorpe from the amazing lakeside walks (where trail number one takes place) which are COVID friendly being outside in nature, the amazing play areas both at WildRootz (home of the second poo trail and aimed at younger ones) which is outdoor and HootzHouse (inside play – DO BOOK YOUR SLOT AS IT WILL BE BUSY) and all the animals to visit. Flamingoes and birds galore as well as cows and a plethora of ducks and geese to feed all the way around the park.
Pensthorpe had to close last week due to a bout of bird flu but they are 100% safe to be open and welcoming everyone in with COVID safe open arms! We will be there at some point, how about you?!
We are season ticket holders which we have been gifted but we have always been visitors and regular customers and always will be. Pensthorpe is BRILLIANT!
