Wroxham Barns Lambing Live For February Half Term 2023! Wroxham Barns have pulled it out the bag yet again for this half term with a lambing event which saw us get to see a baby lamb actually being born! Now, I can’t guarantee that’s what you’ll get if you pop along for an all inclusive day out by the broads but… I’d say you stand a VERY good chance! Their maternity ewe-nit is filled to the brim with sheep about […]

Goldilocks And The Three Bears – The Maddermarket 2022 Pantomime! Pantomime – a fairy tale story given a twist and a wiggle to bring entertainment for the whole family during the festive season. Traditionally the back bone of theatre it would carry takings which could see them through the whole year when otherwise bottoms on seats were not so prolific. Over time this staple of the theatrical calendar became its most important, not just for the profit making but because […]
Christmas 2022 At Pensthorpe Natural Park! We do talk a lot about Pensthrope Natural Park as it’s one of our most favourite places to be in Norfolk. As days out go, it never gets old, has something for everyone and most important has an incredibly inclusive price. I wanted to let you know about the massively brilliant price of the annual tickets to visit because they are just so inexpensive it would make the most ideal Christmas present. For just […]
Operation Save Santa At The Garage – Norwich! In typical me and my disorganised style I rocked up to the preview for All In Productions “Operation Save Santa” at The Garage in Norwich with quite the wrong children for the performance. You see, they are gifting us two this year, this one, which is geared up for 5-10 year olds, and a “My First” production (if you’ve been to their offerings before like the panto or Shakespeare then you’ll be […]
Winter Wonderland Norwich! Winter Wonderland Norwich has been keeping the Norfolk Showground warm for a couple of weeks now but we are proof that you can never be too late to this Christmas party after our rather festive visit this afternoon! This was one the big kids were mega excited about as quite a lot of things we do are mainly geared up for the little ones. Most of the little stuff is ok for big ones too while the […]
Wroxham Barns – The Christmas Experience 2022! Wroxham Barns is a changed creature since the days when I would take my baby Florence. Back then, more than 12 years ago when we first adventured there, it was a lovely little farm with a small play area, soft play and there were some rides you could pay extra for. The farm was always a great value afternoon out, but we rarely ventured to the ride area as when you have to […]
Goldilocks And The Three Bears At The Maddermarket Theatre Norwich! For the second year running in Norwich there’s really only one pantomime you need to book, and that’s the Sound Idea’s Theatre Company offering at the historic Maddermarket Theatre. Last year’s Cinderella was a triumph with the best, worst baddie in all the land played by none other than my delicious friend Anna Goode who once again is treading the vintage boards of this perfectly charming independent theatre in not […]
Health Visitor Survey Caroline Williams, head of engagement at Healthwatch Norfolk I am happy to admit it has been a few years since I was a new mum, but I can still remember the time I got home with my twins for the first time and thought, ‘now what do I do?’ One of the great emotional lifelines for me was my health visitor who was there to help and support me through the twins’ early days, but they continue […]
Baby Ballet Norfolk! We were recently invited to try the new Baby Ballet Classes for Central Norfolk and we loved them so much we’ve signed up for this next term too! Posie began the tinies class which is for babies aged 18 months to 3 years but there are classes for tots (6m-18m), movers (3y-4y) and Groovers (4.5y-6y). The classes run in various locations and are active every single day of the week with the exception of Sundays. We’ve been […]
Fairground Frights At Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach! From the 26th of October to the 30th Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach will once again be transformed from its usual family friendly tourist attraction of rides, smiles and ice creams to the fright night shennanigans which have put it very firmly on the map for Halloween half term in Norfolk. Five whole nights of ghoulish fun and frolics with the back drop of the fun fair and a whole host of scares. We’ve […]
